Lei Ann Resurreccion
– Certified Instructor
Sifu
Lei Ann Resurreccion has studied kung fu for over 14 years
and became a Wah Lum student in 1996. She quickly became a
fixture on the Boston Wah Lum demonstration team, performing
over the years in the greater Boston area, Florida, New York,
and China. In 2005 she became a certified instructor in the
Wah Lum System by Grandmaster Chan Pui and currently trains
and teaches at the Boston Wah Lum School located in Chinatown.
She also practices Lion Dancing and Tai Chi as part of her
kung fu studies.
Her most memorable accomplishments from competing over the last 10 years have included awards and honors at the 2001 Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival in China; being named the United States Chinese Kuoshu Federation's 2003 Female Competitor of the Year and the 2006 Greater Hartford International Chinese Martial Arts Traditional Advanced Female Grand Champion; and being awarded 2 gold medals as well as a highest score trophy in Northern Traditional hand form division at the Hong Kong Kung Fu Festival III- World Kung Fu Event in 2010.
Sifu
Resurreccion is a licensed acupuncturist, graduating from
the New England School of Acupuncture in 2005, receiving her
dual concentration Masters degree in Chinese acupuncture and
herbal medicine with a certificate in Japanese acupuncture.
She is licensed to practice Oriental Medicine by the Board
of Medicine in Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelors of Science
in Human Physiology from Boston University. While the nature
of Chinese medicine diagnosis allows all conditions to be
treated, Lei Ann has a special interest in orthopedics and
sports medicine issues.
